School Specialty Awards 2010 Robert G. and Eleanor Hall Scholarships to 11 Exemplary Educators From Around the World
Scholarships Support Attendance at International Dyslexia Association 61st Annual Conference
Eleven educators from around the country are attending the International Dyslexia Association's (IDA) 61st Annual Conference in Phoenix this week as recipients of the 2010 Robert G. and Eleanor T. Hall Memorial Scholarships, sponsored by School Specialty Literacy and Intervention. Created to honor the founder of Educators Publishing Service (EPS), now part of School Specialty Literacy and Intervention, and his wife, Eleanor Thurston Hall, these scholarships reward exemplary educators from around the country for the innovative instructional strategies they use to help their dyslexic students achieve at the highest levels.

Tennessee Approves School Specialty's Professional Development Provider for Race to the Top School Reform Program
Company's Comprehensive Professional Development Plan for Accelerated Learning Model Focuses on Differentiated Instruction, Data-Driven Decision-Making
Tennessee has approved School Specialty Literacy and Intervention as an official professional development provider for helping the state's 136 school districts move forward in implementing comprehensive school reform plans over the next four years.  One of only two states to receive federal Race to the Top Funding in the first round in March, Tennessee will target 196 schools for intervention in the first year of the grant and 226 by year four.

West Virginia Board of Education Adopts School Specialty's Math Intervention Solution

School Specialty announced today that the Academy of MATH® has been adopted by the West Virginia Board of Education.  The award-winning intervention software was selected to help students build the 21st century skills required to meet West Virginia Mathematics Standards. The math software program was reviewed by the state's Instructional Materials Review Committee and approved by the West Virginia State Board of Education.
