DistrictPRO Success Plan for Year One is targeted for 10 or more school implementations.  Each step throughout each Phase will enable you to build an effective reading program using the Academy of READING®.

Implementation Planning
Objective:  Create a road map to success, using the Academy of READING®
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Complete the Implementation Planning Guide:  10 Easy Steps for Setting up Success
  • Establish implementation goals
  • Determine capacity for program fidelity

 

Leadership Workshop
Objective:  Provide the School Leadership Team with the tools to drive accountability and support program effectiveness
After viewing this pre-recorded Webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the benefits of the Academy of READING
  • Drive accountability using program Reports
  • Support program effectiveness through motivational strategies
  • Gauge program progress to celebrate success
  • PHASE 2—DEPLOY: Increases Instructional Productivity

Introducing the Academy of READING
Objective:  Equip participants with product knowledge and tools to implement the Academy of READING effectively
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the theory and benefits of the Academy of READING
  • Assess students reading performance
  • Understand student skill areas through hands-on practice
  • Monitor and manage student training effectively


From Theory to Practice:  Academy of READING QuickStart
Objective:  Launch student training and model key elements of program introduction to ensure a successful start to the program
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate the benefits of the Academy of READING to students
  • Introduce the Academy of READING to students
  • Create excitement for student training in the Academy of READING
  • Start student training and interpret Placement Test results
  • PHASE 3—MENTOR: Accelerates Student Progress

Classroom Support
Objective:  Ensure ongoing program fidelity with onsite classroom coaching and supplemental materials
During these classroom visits, participants will be coached on:

  • Monitoring student progress
  • Analyzing and assessing data
  • Intervention strategies
  • Classroom strategies


Mid-Year Review with Interim Report Cards
Objective: Ensure ongoing program fidelity with a mid-year review of interim report cards

With these reports, participants will be aware of:

  • Program usage and fidelity
  • Student time-on-task and levels mastered
  • Suggested ways to improve implementation
  • PHASE 4—EVALUATE: Sustains Results

Comprehensive Year-end Report
Objective:  Understand year-end results and use data to make Year 2 Planning decisions

At the end of this implementation period, participants will receive:

  • Recommendations for Year 2 implementation
  • Academy of READING Year 2 Planning Guide
  • Comprehensive Year-end  District level Report


Upon receipt of this report, participants will gain insight into:

  • Comparative views of participating schools relative to key fidelity metrics
  • Student gains on Academy Placement Tests
  • Correlation between time-on-task and gains
