RTIWorks for Academy of READING

Response to Intervention (RTI) requires a well-defined plan and trained staff to ensure successful implementation at the district and campus levels. The School Specialty Intervention RTIWorks professional development programs are designed to meet the needs of administrators and practitioners at various stages in the RTI adoption cycle. Two programs are available: RTIWorks School and RTIWorks District.

RTIWorks School RTIWorks District

RTIWorks School is a program for school or district implementations that already have a written RTI plan. It is designed for new users of the RtI Package for a new RTI Implementation. It focuses on training teachers and campus leadership on the RTI model and the use of the RTI Package™ for the Academy of READING.

At the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand Response to Intervention Theory
  • Use SSI's RTI Toolkit as a Universal Screener
  • Use Universal Screening Data to Assign Progress Monitoring
  • Assess student progress through Progress Monitoring with Case Management
  • Navigate and use the Progress Monitoring Dashboard for data-driven decision-making
  • Identify skill deficits with diagnostic assessments

RTIWorks District is a program for districts that are in the process of defining their RTI implementation plan. It is designed for districts in the early stages of their RtI implementation and focuses on developing

expertise on finalizing the plan, determining team processes, and managing school rollout. It includes professional development and services for RTI leadership planning and management.
