The
Mind That’s Mine is a program designed to teach students about how
their minds work and how they can best use thier own unique mind. The program
was developed by the All Kinds of Minds Institute (www.allkindsofminds.org)
in collaboration with the Schwab Foundation for Learning. The curriculum helps
students to discover how their minds work, what their strengths are, and what
they can do to make their minds work better. Especially helpful for students with
learning differences, the program helps all students to recognize, tolerate, and
respect individual differences in learning and behavior.
The program has a flexible design that allows it to be integrated into your existing
curriculum. This tested resource was piloted in fifth-grade classrooms with over
400 students. The program can either be used in conjunction with Dr. Mel Levine’s
book All Kinds of Minds or on its own.
