About The Program

 
A multisensory Orton-Gillingham based program for phonics and language structure

This ungraded, multisensory curriculum teaches phonics and the structure of language at both the elementary and secondary levels. Using the Orton-Gillingham approach, it teaches handwriting, spelling, reading, reading comprehension and oral and written expression.

Materials include:

Teacher's Guides - Foundations for Literacy presents the four levels of teh Schedules of
Daily Lesson Plans on which the program is based. Situation Spelling and Situation Reading are Teacher's Manuals that use a code to help students associate one sound with a given symbol.

Student Workbooks - Situation Learning workbooks provide reinforcement activiteis and exercises for each of the phonemes, graphemes, and concepts in the curriculum.

Tests - Bench Mark Measures contain three sequential tests that assess alphabet and dictonary skills, reading, handwriting, and spelling, and correspond to the first three Schedules of the Alphabet Phonics curriculum. 

Ancillary Materials - include review/drill card decks for reading, spelling, and alphabet sequencing.
