Wordly Wise 3000 K–1

Explicit Oral Vocabulary Instruction

Wordly Wise 3000 Levels K and 1 develop key oral vocabulary that lays the foundation for literacy success and prepares students for the content–area reading they will encounter in later grades.

Grades 2-3

Starting in Book 2, vocabulary instruction becomes more sophisticated, while continuing to prepare students for content area learning.  Books 2-3 contain 15 lessons each and 10 words per lesson.

Grades 4-8

The vocabulary instruction in books 4-8 focuses on preparing students with strategies to unlock the meaning of words they will encounter in content area texts, literature, and high-stakes tests.
Books 4-8 contain 20 lessons each and 15 words per lesson.

Grades 9-12

High school vocabulary instruction focuses on preparing students with strategies to unlock the meaning of words they will encounter in content area texts, literature, and high-stakes tests, including the ACT and SAT. Tests also introduce a Standardized Test Prep Preview section to give students practice with additional formats they may encounter.  Books 9-12 contain 20 lessons each and 15 words per lesson.
