Seminar Overview

Join us for an engaging breakfast seminar, where will offer an overview of Orton-Gillingham based reading intervention program designed for your dyslexic students, struggling readers, and nonreaders. SPIRE builds reading success through direct, explicit, and systematic instruction in phonological awareness, phonics, spelling, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. 

In this half-day seminar, you will learn about:
  • Multisensory, Orton-Gillingham based instruction
  • Addressing the needs of your dyslexic students, struggling readers, and nonreaders
  • Reinforcing concepts for mastery through a spiraling curriculum
  • SPIRE Professional Development
  • iSPIRE, the digital version of S.P.I.R.E.

About S.P.I.R.E.

S.P.I.R.E. was written by Orton-Gillingham Fellow, Sheila Clark-Edmands, M.S. Ed. and incorporates the Orton-Gillingham approach as well as the latest reading research on how struggling readers learn. This multisensory program was created specifically to teach at-risk children and children with dyslexia how to read.
